DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND IMAGING - FINAL PROJECT
JENNIFER HUANG
Bachelor of Design in Creative Media
INSTRUCTIONS
TimeFrame : Week 9 - Week 14|
Deadline : Week 14
Description : Cinemagraph - Self Tilted
Self Tilted is an exploration project for the students to express their own individuality and reflect their personality into digital art self expression. The main idea is to build up self confidence and discover their interest. The term "Cinemagraph" was coined in 2011, when photographer Jamie Beck and digital artist Kevin Burg used the technique to animate some of their photography and wanted a name other than "animated photo". Photographers were already exploring that way of showing photos with animation, but it was their body of work that attracted attention and got people doing their own cinemagraphs. Suddenly it was trendy to have animated GIF's again, although those modern examples were not based on clipart from the early days of the web, but really photographs with an area showing minor and repeated movement.

So in this week, Mr. Martin showed us the brief for the final project
that we'll be making. Basically what we're going to do is to make an
animated poster about ourself (How we want others to view us) or as
mentioned on the MIB as Cinema graph - Self Tilted. Firstly Mr. martin
introduced us to Adobe After Effects and how to make a simple animated
GIF

FINAL SUBMISSION
Final Video (Without bg music)
This self-titled is called ‘Golden entity’ and i depict myself as a picture in a frame with a background of many sceneries. I also insert some butterflies since i want to show how free I felt at the moment. On top and of that I put a crown ornament since i have my own authority of what I will and am going to do with my life.

REFLECTION
I noticed that in this Final project, on the first until second week I
procrastinate a lot and only finish one sketch, although on the other
side, I was still learning and processing how to use adobe after effects
which is new to me. After learning for quite some time, I started to get
the hang of it and after looking for inspirations and references I
finally did my final project 'Golden Entity' It was quite fun in the end.
