REFLECTION
Experience - learning typography made me realize the
enormous power of letters and shapes. As I learned more about the subtleties
of various typefaces, I came to see that typography was more than just the
arrangement of letters; it was a form of art that could inspire feelings and
subtly convey messages. Each line, curve, and ligature had a specific
significance and a distinct personality. I learned about the intricate
interactions between font size and line spacing, as well as the delicate
balance between readability and aesthetics. I explored, learnt, and improved
my abilities with each project, learning more about the rich history and
always changing field of typography. It was an adventure in creativity,
accuracy, and the delight of turning words into lovely visual
representations.
Observation - I found myself engaged in a world of complexities and nuance that I had never truly comprehended before when I started my adventure of mastering typography. It soon became clear that typography involved much more than just choosing a font and organizing letters; it was a precise skill that called for a keen eye for detail. I came to understand that every choice I made had a significant impact on the overall message and aesthetic appeal after studying the anatomy of letterforms and learning about spacing and hierarchy.
